Applications - What are the Entry requirements?

Melody Engelbrecht -

If you are a South African Applicant, the entry requirements will depend on whether you have a pre-2008 Matric or a NSC (National Senior Certificate Matric).

To view both pre 2008 & NSC: https://www.wits.ac.za/undergraduate/entry-requirements/

If you have International Qualifications then you are required to meet the exemption requirements and Faculty specific requirements.
For more information regarding exemption go to http://hesa.enrol.ac.za/mb  Click on foreign qualification/qualification by country.
You may also refer to the guide for applicants - international students.

SAQA Evaluation is not required for Undergraduate studies.

Mature Age Applicants -These refer to Pre 2008 matric and international applicants who meet mature age requirements based on their school leaving certificates, i.e applicants who have not passed the pre 2008 matric with exemption and foreign applicants who do not qualify for a complete/foreign conditional exemption. If 23 years and above, applicants may be eligible to apply on the grounds of mature age exemption to the Faculty of Humanities only.

Such applicants may be required to write a selection test, if no tertiary studies have been pursued.

NB: Please be advised that meeting the likely admission level does not guarantee the applicant admission to the University.
